Welcome to Maux Cocktails ("Maux," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Maux Cocktails website, products and services. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase alcoholic beverages from Maux Cocktails. By placing an order you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 21 years old.
- You are legally permitted to purchase alcohol.
- The recipient (if different from you) is at least 21 years old.
- The shipment is permitted under the laws of both the shipping and delivery states.
- The products are being purchased for personal enjoyment or lawful gifting only.
2. Alcohol Sales
All alcoholic beverage orders are fulfilled by licensed retailers and fulfillment partners in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. Orders placed through the Maux Cocktails website remain subject to acceptance by the licensed retailer fulfilling the order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including:
- Age verification failure
- Delivery restrictions
- Product availability
- Pricing errors
- Suspected fraud
- Compliance with applicable law
If an order cannot legally be fulfilled, any payment collected will be refunded to the original payment method.
3. Age Verification & Delivery
An adult aged 21 years or older must be present with valid government-issued photo identification when alcohol is delivered. Delivery carriers may refuse delivery if:
- Valid identification cannot be presented
- The recipient appears intoxicated
- The recipient is under 21 years of age
Maux Cocktails is not responsible for failed deliveries resulting from these circumstances.
4. Personalized Products
Many Maux Cocktails products are custom-made specifically for your order. By submitting names, logos, photographs, artwork or other content, you confirm that:
- You own the rights to use the submitted materials or have obtained all necessary permissions.
- The materials do not infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
- The materials do not contain unlawful, offensive or defamatory content.
Maux Cocktails reserves the right to reject any personalization request that we believe violates these standards.
5. Artwork Approval
Customers are responsible for reviewing all personalization proofs before production. Once artwork has been approved and production has commenced:
- No further changes can be made.
- Personalized products cannot be cancelled.
- Orders cannot be modified once production has begun.
Customers are responsible for verifying:
- Names
- Dates
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Artwork placement
- Colors
Maux Cocktails is not responsible for errors approved by the customer.
6. Pricing
All prices are shown in U.S. Dollars. Prices may change without notice. Taxes and shipping charges are calculated during checkout where applicable.
7. Payment
Payment is required at the time an order is placed. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been successfully authorized.
8. Shipping
Shipping times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Weather
- Carrier disruptions
- State shipping restrictions
- Government regulations
- Force majeure events
Risk of loss transfers upon delivery to the recipient.
9. Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. If an incorrect shipping address results in a returned shipment, additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be resent. Where permitted by law, refunds may be reduced by outbound shipping costs, return shipping charges and any applicable restocking fee.
10. Returns & Refunds
Because alcoholic beverages are regulated products and many Maux Cocktails products are custom made: All personalized sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges except where required by law.
11. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please email maux@mauxcocktails.com within three (3) days of delivery. Please include:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs
- A description of the issue
Once reviewed, we may:
- Replace the product
- Issue store credit
- Issue a refund where appropriate
We reserve the right to request additional information before approving any claim.
12. Intellectual Property
All content appearing on the Maux Cocktails website, including:
- Logos
- Product designs
- Photography
- Packaging
- Illustrations
- Written content
- Graphics
is owned by or licensed to Maux Cocktails and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
13. User Content
If you submit reviews, photographs or social media content featuring Maux Cocktails, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for marketing and promotional purposes unless you request otherwise.
14. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with website security.
- Upload malicious software.
- Misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to purchase alcohol for anyone under the legal drinking age.
- Resell Maux Cocktails products without authorization.
15. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maux Cocktails provides its website and products "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding uninterrupted website access or error-free operation. Product images are intended as guides only. Due to handcrafted production and personalized printing, slight variations in color, paper texture and bottle appearance may occur.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maux Cocktails shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected order.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maux Cocktails, its owners, employees, affiliates and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities or expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of the website
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your submission of unauthorized artwork
- False representations regarding age or eligibility to purchase alcohol
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The revised version will become effective immediately upon posting to this website. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
